Some of my early work has been included in this new book published by Routledge. There is also an excellent website associated with the book that supplements the book’s content. It will be updated from time to time.

Final Copies of Breaking the Rules

November 16th, 2010

breakrules-covers1.jpg
On my travels, I have had people come up to me and tell me how much this textbook meant to them at some important point in their lives. Often they regret lending it to someone and never getting it back. If this happened to YOU, this is a great chance to get replacement copies in mint condition. The 1977 version (I have one extra copy) is yours for $35, the 1992 spiral bound version for $25. Add $4 for shipping. If you are interested, you should email bea@beanettles.com to learn how to proceed to reserve your copy.

I will be teaching “Alternative Media Workshop: Sunprinting with Cyanotype and VanDyke Brown” at Anderson Ranch in Snowmass, Colorado this summer. June 13-17. I rarely do these workshops anymore, so spread the word. Printing with the sun sounds really good to me, now that winter is approaching!
Details will be posted here soon:http://www.andersonranch.org/workshops/index.php?page=workshops-summer&nav1=summer-workshops

Just published! Lava Gardens: An Artist’s Guide to the Wildflowers of Iceland

August 31st, 2010

lava-gardens.jpg
I have just put most of the images from my latest botanical on my website. Lava Gardens was created after my month-long stay in Iceland this July. The days were long, the travel extensive. I had so many new photos that instead of revising the book Plontu Handbokin (my first botanical from Iceland), I made an entirely new one. You can see most of the images here:http://web.me.com/nettles3/Pay_on_Demand_Books/Lava_Gardens.html
It will be spiral bound. It sells, like all of my other botanicals, for $28 plus shipping.
