What better way to pass a long snowy weekend than to think about a walk that I took in Cortona, Italy? I have just completed a leather bound, triple accordion style book. When standing open it suggests the hilly landscape above the town of Cortona just around the Porta Colonia.

I have recently complete four new books while teaching in Cortona, Italy. Two are based on famous women: Eve and Venus. The other two are sculptural accordion books that represent the up and downhill climbs in this medieval walled city.

My Bookbinding classes in Cortona

I’m off to Cortona, Italy for three months to teach bookbinding.
